Title: Web Content Strategist
Duration: 6+ months with quarterly renewal
Location: San Jose, CA

This role is responsible for developing and executing a digital media solutions strategy to meet marketing objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in the planning and development of segment marketing plans
• Develop Digital Media Solutions (DMS) Plan to define goals, objectives, strategy, and tactics. Include KPI and measurement plan.
• Partner with segment team to populate the Audience Mapping Strategy template to define the who, what, when, where, why for content (audience, topic, format, placement, promotion, goal, measurement)
• Work with segment team to develop a Content Strategy that includes an editorial calendar to keep content fresh and relevant, aligning with defined marketing themes or focus
• Identify resources needed to execute project - developer, writer, vendor, cross-functional team, etc.
• Lead project teams from inception to launch, to execute on time and within budget through effective management of schedule, resources, scope/deliverables, obstacles and risks.
• Work daily with marketing managers, marcom managers, and developers
• Build and foster strong relationships with product counterparts in GMCC organization – social media, web strategy, content strategy
• Understand SEO best practices and ensure integrated into plans
• Create standard web metrics reporting dashboard in Site Catalyst and report data to segment teams, with analysis and recommendations for content performance improvement
• Effectively communicates expectations and status to team members in a timely and clear fashion
• Track projects in SalesForce
• Facilitate and participate in reviews and QA to ensure high quality deliverables

Essential
• Multi-tasking – Ability to competently manage numerous projects, stakeholders, and prioritize in a high pressure environment, while maintaining deadlines and executing on deliverables
• 10 years of experience working in B2B marketing organization
• Passion for the web, solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies
• Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies
• Competent at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Conflict management - Mitigates conflict and communication problems; Understands how to communicate
• Difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with various project management methodologies and ability to tailor approach for success

Preferred
• BA/BS
• Experience with Cisco, professional services industry or experience in a related field or highly technical environment
• Metrics Generation, Analysis & Reporting
• Understanding of marketing discipline and how it translates to an online environment
• Project Management Training or Certification
• Content Management & Publishing
• Experience with Social Media Tools

• Microsoft Software (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word, Project, Visio, Sharepoint)
• Salesforce.com
• Metrics Generation & Analysis (Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics,)
