Have you ever thought about taking your skills and expertise and dedicating them to help a great non-profit?
Encore Fellowships are available for those considering retirement, with 20+ years of progressive work experience, who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act.

A Bay Area nonprofit focused on the arts requires a Human Resources and Organizational Development Fellow.

Responsibilities in HR Projects include:
- Assist the organization in developing new organizational structures focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Help develop employee handbook, policies, compensation plans, performance evaluation metrics
- Provide mentoring to the leadership team about HR management and DEI

Stipend: $25K for 1000 hours, with the possibility of extension
Work Schedule: 15-20 hours a week for 12-16 months.
Work Location: 100% REMOTE

Bay Area candidates preferred but qualified candidates anywhere in the US will be considered.

Preference for a candidate who shares the nonprofit's value of fostering the arts.
Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non-profit organizations, for those typically 50+ and considering retirement, with 20+ years experience, who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act. Applicants apply to be considered as a Fellow and matches are made based on skills, interest, and availability of positions at non-profit hosts, continually throughout the year. Fellowships are 1000 hours, typically part-time for a year, and include a $25,000 stipend, education on the sector, and networking with a cohort of peers.

[KIT-list] Technical Engineering Intern position at Synopsys (Remote)

As an intern at Synopsys (working remotely for team in the Mountain View,CA  office), you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You will build and refine skills relevant to your major and future career. The Synopsys intern program emphasizes integrating our interns, allowing you to work hand-in hand with mentors and colleagues on your team. Your contributions will be invaluable to the company and products, guaranteeing you a fulfilling internship that you can proudly bring back to your courses.

This internship in is Full Time (40 hours/week) and will ideally start in March 2021 and last for the duration of 6 months.


What you'll learn and do:
There is an ongoing effort to create and access contents from a CDB (Connect Database) through a traditional database that is accessible from multiple hosts through a client-server model. Presently, CDB is stored in files written to disk, read back in-memory and served. Currently CDSL (Common Data Store Library), which is based on Redis, is being evaluated. There are other candidate DB's available that need to be evaluated. The intern will be tasked to evaluate and profile their performance. We can also explore the idea of creating an interface that can be used by Connect, without worrying about the specific API's/calls tied to a particular DB.

Skill Requirements:
Proficient in C/C++/Linux, Good Understanding/Coursework in Computer Science/Computer Architecture – Object Oriented Design, Software Design, Data Structure Basics, Databases

Education Qualifications:
All interns must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution.  Pursuing MS
