Frontend Engineer
FLOWER CO. is looking for an amazing Frontend Engineer to join our fast-scaling technology team. We are building an end-to-end software system for sourcing, fulfillment, delivery, and e-commerce in a highly regulated industry. We face big, unique problems to solve in a massive space that is growing more and more with wider legalization.

We're looking for strong engineers with exceptional problem-solving skills who are comfortable working independently and owning large, complicated projects. You have unparalleled attention to detail. You're curious and strive to learn new technologies and systems. Your abilities to collaborate, manage your time, and communicate effectively are as strong as your technical skills.

This role is 100% remote!

What you'll do
• Work on end-to-end software powering a large customer frontend and delivery network.
• Work on all aspects of the application including a customer frontend, administrative applications, reporting, data warehousing, and a range of fulfillment tools.
• Solve complex problems dealing with compliance and regulations as they relate to e-commerce.


Who you are
• 5+ years professional experience with HTML, CSS/SCSS and JavaScript
• Experience with JavaScript compiler (npm, webpack...)
• Experience with Sass
• Experience with jQuery and Bootstrap
• Experience communicating with the backend by API
• Have used Git in a multi-developer environment
• Experience implementing Google Analytics/Tag Manager and other tracking pixel
• Experience with Selenium or other front end testing frameworks
• Excellent collaborative, communication, and documentation skills
• Strong ability to work remotely and communicate with video/chat tools
• Ability to work autonomously, problem-solve, and self-unblock
• Plusses include experience with:
Javascript Frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Alpine
JIRA
Basic coding in PHP

What you'll do

• Develop using tools such as Terraform, Chef, Linux, and Nginx.
• Work on all aspects of the application including a customer frontend, administrative applications, reporting, data warehousing, and a range of fulfillment tools.
• Solve complex problems dealing with compliance and regulations as they relate to e-commerce.

Who you are
• 5+ years of programming experience with PHP and a PHP framework (Laravel, Cake, CodeIgniter, etc)
• 3+ years' experience with MySQL or similar technology
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems
• Strong understanding of scripting, automation, and CI
• Experience in Caching technologies preferred (e.g. Redis or memcached)
• Experience using Git in a multi-developer environment
• Excellent collaborative, communication, and documentation skills
• Strong ability to work remotely and communicate with video/chat tools
• Ability to work autonomously, problem-solve, and self-unblock
• Plusses include experience with:
Codeigniter
JIRA
AWS

Engineering Project Manager (eCommerce, retail)


OTM is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to contribute to the development of eCommerce large scale applications.


This project is long term (1+year) for a direct Fortune 500 Client.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

10+ years overall Software Project Management

Strong Experience with eCommerce/Retail large scale application development

Agile Development practices

Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science

 

Deliverables:

-Manage the project from the requirements/analysis phase through warranty

-Work with teams to review and analyze business requirements and work with teams to understand any gaps in requirements between business and technical teams

-Coordinate technical design discussions with business and engineering teams

-Coordinate and schedule work 

-Project Plan

-Sprint Plan working with development and testing teams

-Facilitate engineering and testing team stand up meetings to manage deliverables and resolve technical issues

-Ensure all required checkpoints and release deliverables are met 

-Responsible for project artifacts, storage, documentation and regular status meetings

- Strong project management, project leadership, technical and communication skills are required to successfully deliver the project

 

Scope:

Manage the project from the design phase through the warranty period with the following deliverables:

 • Weekly status reporting

 • Manage weekly cross-functional status mtgs with technical and business teams

 • Manage daily stand ups with the core dev and testing teams

 • Remove blockers on a daily basis to ensure the team moves forward

• Ensure the requirements and UX are analyzed, gaps logged and closed, and approved 

 • Develop detailed project plan and sprint planning with development and testing teams

 • Facilitate with engineers a high level architecture
