Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non-profit organizations, for those considering retirement, with 20+ years experience, who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act. Fellowships include a $25,000 stipend for 1000 hours of work, typically part-time for a year, education on the sector, and networking with a cohort of peers.

Position will be mostly remote, some onsite needed

City in South Bay: Diversity Equity and Inclusion Recruitment/Hiring Practices Fellow

Summary:
-Help improve diversity, equity and inclusion in recruiting and hiring.
-Research best DEI practices, assess current practices, pilot potential changes
-Develop and present recommendation for improvement

Skills:
-Human Resources/ Hiring experience
-Program or project management
-Research and Evaluation

Work Environment:
-Hybrid in-office/remote.

You are a seasoned professional with a minimum of 20+ years of experience, who is retired or in transition. You want to continue to work and want to do something with meaning. You may be ready for a second act for the greater good.

Encore Fellowships are structured programs that place highly-skilled, experienced professionals into social-purpose organizations, where they help nonprofits build capacity, and ultimately, have a greater impact on their communities. Fellows commit to 1,000 hours of work over 6 to 12 months. They are paid a stipend of $25,000 and are integrated into the nonprofit's leadership team.

THIS POSITION PREFERS A PERSON, FULLTIME, FOR SIX MONTHS.

For a San Francisco Bay Area - South Bay Area elementary school ensuring students from diverse backgrounds develop the academic skills and leadership habits required to succeed in college and live with integrity.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for HR operations throughout the organization including:

-HR day-to-day operations

-Personnel file audits and authorizer visits

-Staff change mgmt. (promotions, status change, etc.)

-Employee benefits & perks/total comp packages

-LOAs (other)

-HR compliance & handbook mgmt.

-Credentialing

-Employee relations

-Investigations

-Performance mgmt. coaching

-Retention planning



Skills:

- Human Resources experience

- Strong verbal and written communication

- Detail oriented

- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills


Work Location: Hybrid - Weekly onsite with some remote


Work Schedule: Full time, 6 month fellowship preferred
