Encore Paid Fellowship: Finance and Federal Grants Management, Bay Area candidates preferred, anywhere in US considered.

 

Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non-profit organizations, for those typically 50+ and considering retirement, with 20+ years experience, who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act. Fellowships include a $25,000 stipend for 1000 hours of work, education on the sector, and networking with a cohort of peers.

 

Fellowship: FEDERAL GRANTS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT -- 100% REMOTE

Bay Area candidates preferred, Candidates anywhere in the US will be considered

 

For a Bay Area nonprofit focused on human rights.

 

*** Must have Federal Grant Management experience. ***

 

Responsibilities include:

- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting 

- Manage grant reporting 

- Support Director of Finance and supervise finance team

- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders 

- Assist in fiscal risk management 

 

Stipend: $25K for 1000 hours, with the possibility of extension

Work Schedule: 20 hours a week for 12 months.

Work Location: 100% REMOTE

Bay Area candidates preferred but qualified applicants outside the Bay Area or in other states will be considered.

Fellowship: ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT -- Mostly Remote, Partial onsite in the East Bay.

For a Bay Area nonprofit focused on closing racial and gender wealth gaps.

 

Project Scope:

- Organizational Culture Development - focus on DEI and racial and economic justice

- Talent Recruitment and Retention

- HR Operations

 

Stipend: $25K for 1000 hours, with the possibility of extension

Work Schedule: 20 hours a week for 12 months, Flexible

Work Location: Mostly Remote, Some onsite at the office in Alameda County

Encore Fellowships are for US citizens, typically nearing or in retirement, who wish to put their 20+ years experience to work in the nonprofit sector. Fellowships  are 1000 hours, usually part-time for a year, for a $20,000 stipend, education, networking and experience in the nonprofit sector.

YWCA Greater Los Angeles is a social justice organization with a long-standing tradition ofadvocating for gender and racial equality. The YWCA Greater Los Angeles is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Work will be a combination of remote and on-site.

 Encore Fellow Program Compliance Monitor: Primary Role and Responsibilities

The Program Compliance Monitor under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, will establish protocols and policies to ensure compliance with grants and program delivery.

· Monitor the compliance of all grants and contracts.

· Provide analysis and post award services to ensure compliance and grant specific requirements are met.

· Serve as a resource and internal liaison to program staff in their roles as they relate to grant compliance.

· Maintain a strong internal control structure to ensure all requirements are achieved

· Identify system to track all objectives and create forms or identify software for internal reporting, monitoring and benchmarking.

Encore Fellow Program Compliance Monitor: Key Skills Requirements

Key skills requirements include:

· Successful track record (25 years+) in compliance or oversite

· Excellent analytical and organization skills

· Experience in implementing new organizational process improvement plans including IT

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • A creative mindset and ability to generate new idea

· Accustomed to prioritizing, executing, and achieving results in lean organizations; always ready to engage and lend a hand where needed

  • Thrives in a collaborative and diverse environment

· A belief in the mission of YWCA GLA

This assignment will be both virtual and onsite in South Park, adjacent to Downtown Los Angeles.
