OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated professional with excellent analytical skills to join our growing finance/accounting team to assist the VP, Finance with building out the FP&A function and provide analytical/decision support to our management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecast and long-range plan in ensuring alignment with corporate goals
- Perform financial analysis and management reporting to functional teams on strategic planning, budgeting, operations planning and budget vs actual variance analysis
- Implement FP&A software and data automation projects
- Perform analysis of standard product costs, labor and overhead allocations and profit margins
- Provide financial support for growth initiatives including product development, research partnerships/collaborations, commercialization and capital expenditure projects
- Support monthly/quarterly financial close activities and financial audits
- Participate in FP&A initiatives including identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial modeling skills
- Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite and MS office Suite
- Knowledge of financial systems – NetSuite, Adaptive, or similar
- Experience with financial system implementation
- Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- High attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience in Life Sciences sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
