HPE is excited to add an experienced Executive and Employee Communications Manager to our Corporate Communications team to support business group communications. Communication plays a key role in enabling HPE's success and our transformation to an aaS company.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

This role will support a global business group's executive and employee communications, responsible for ensuring we are tightly aligned to the organization and company transformation narratives. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and reporting sustained employee and external communications plans to advance the company's brand, and drive employee alignment and engagement.


Responsibilities

- Understand the communications needs of various internal audiences; develop, execute, and evaluate key employee communications strategies, programs, messaging frameworks, that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
- Support key internal events.
- Develop executive and customer presentations.
- Write and edit email, web content, blog posts, etc.
- Support executive social media efforts.
- Serve as a communications consultant and strategist for assigned business.
- Work cross-functionally across teams, businesses, and functions to ensure alignment.

About You:

- BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration.
- Solid background in internal or external communications, social media, or marketing.

Knowledge and Skills

- Superior writing and editing skills - recognized for "near perfection" writing and editing skills and often asked to edit the work of others.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Strong visual and storytelling skills.
- Superior organization and program management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles.
- Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
- Ability to understand and translate technical, complex, and varied information into audience-resonating communications.
- Ability to multi-task, managing and prioritizing a variety of projects with tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including senior company management.
- Proven experience managing, leading, driving, and measuring virtual teams toward a common goal.
- High levels of tact and diplomacy.
- Flexible, has a sense of humour and is adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead content and engagement strategist for HPE's in-house Digital & Creative agency.

Collaborate with peers, producers, social media managers, and internal clients to develop compelling content and engagement campaigns that support strategic priorities and drive measurable results.

Oversee HPE's fast/casual digital content program – short-form content, specifically designed for internal and external social media consumption – with a focus on news, culture, leadership, and innovation.

Partner with executive communicators to enhance the digital footprint of HPE's CEO and senior leaders. Drive executive visibility, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement with timely, personalized content that communicates HPE's values, strategy, and business momentum.

Establish processes to enable fast, efficient creation of content and campaigns. Measure, report and continually optimize performance.


About You:

Creative storyteller, who instinctively understands the nature of modern media consumption.

College degree in related field, 8-10 years related experience.

Expert understanding of all aspects of content strategy, from research, analysis and strategic planning to the ongoing creation, optimization, and governance.

Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills, with proven ability to shape clear and compelling content for diverse audiences.

This will role set the PR strategy and lead media relations for HPE's business, product, and innovation agendas.

The ideal candidate must have experience leading a PR team and a proven track record of generating results and business impact. He or she must be an excellent and prolific writer, capable of translating technical jargon and complex concepts into compelling, differentiated, and concise content. This candidate should be a voracious consumer of news and social media content, bring a growth mindset, and be a curious researcher to find interesting connections to HPE and the broader trends taking place in business, technology, and the global economy.

Responsibilities include:

- Strategy: set and execute the external communications strategy for HPE Business Groups, as well as the HPE CTO.
- Media relations: develop strong relationships with media and influencers across a range of categories and ecosystems. Continue to research, identify, and develop relationships with new journalists. Understand what makes a good story, flag trends and opportunities to insert HPE into broader narratives.
- Product launches: drive seamless, organized product launch process that delivers strong, effective content and generates results across a range of media and influencers.
- Partner communications: set and execute partner communications strategy for HPE, including with channel partners, colocation providers, independent software vendors, service providers, and systems integrators.
- Customer PR and storytelling: announce, showcase, and tell the stories of HPE customers, to prove momentum and success in HPE's transformation, and the business impact HPE solutions deliver to customers.
- Measurement: leverage measurement to gain insights into key drivers and trends in the industry, benchmark against peer companies, and set targets to grow and improve results over time.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

- Leadership: proven ability to establish trusted relationships at the senior-executive level and collaborate with multiple partners and stakeholders, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and lead and inspire their teams. Present compelling plans and develop consensus around a particular point of view.
- Business acumen: understand HPE strategy, business group strategy, and innovation roadmap, and the role differentiated technology and solutions can play in driving business results for a technology vendor. Understand how to tie HPE solutions and offerings to business benefits, solutions, and outcomes for HPE's customers.
- Social media: leverages social media to gain insights into trends and the POV of journalist and influencers, and actively engages on social media to advocate for HPE and share news and compelling content (i.e., Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social platforms).

The ideal candidate has:

- A Bachelor's degree and at least ten to fifteen years of PR / corporate communications experience, preferably at tech PR agencies and / or fast-paced, high-tech companies.
