Intermedia, the world leader in hosted Exchange for small and medium sized businesses, is looking for an experienced, success oriented, highly motivated Senior Virtualization Engineer to help lead all aspects of our large and growing virtualization environment. Intermedia's continued rapid growth makes this is a critical position that is key to Intermedia's future success.
The individual that is best suited for this role should be able to demonstrate that they have a deep technical understanding of individual virtualization technologies as well as the experience to handle design engineering and future planning for the entire virtualization infrastructure, spanning Intermedia's multiple data centers.
To be considered for this position you should have had success at a senior position at a large managed service provider, a SaaS company with high-volume online operations or a large corporate enterprise.
Position Description
The Intermedia Sr. Virtualization Engineer will oversee Intermedia's ever growing virtualization infrastructure. Currently this infrastructure spans across four data centers and with a virtualization first policy is growing rapidly. The role of the Senior Virtualization Engineer includes but is not limited to: engineering design of the infrastructure, future planning, installation, operation, capacity management, and ongoing maintenance of Intermedia's virtualization infrastructure.
The Challenge
With over 250,000 end users, our infrastructure is large, complex and second to none in quality and performance. We have established a virtualization first policy making virtualization technology extremely critical to the performance of the infrastructure. Our flagship product, hosted Exchange 2010, is growing rapidly and runs entirely on virtualized infrastructure. Your challenge will be to use your experience and skill to design and administer the virtualization infrastructure for the world's largest Hosted Exchange infrastructure and deliver on the 99.999% uptime SLA provided to all of Intermedia's clients.
