Our client, a high volume, consumer-centric, health-tech company is looking for a CFO. This role will work closely with the CEO and with executive management to achieve their goal of aggressive sales growth. The company is in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically on the peninsula with options to work remotely as well as in the office.

Position Summary:
The CFO will lead all aspects of financial planning and accounting functions of the company. Responsibilities will include designing, building, and optimizing the financial functions of the organization for scale-up, commensurate with the company's growth. The CFO will partner with the CEO and in driving fundraising, investor relations, capital allocation, modeling, forecasting, and budget management. This role is hands-on and requires intimate involvement with the day-to-day operations and planning, while thinking strategically about growth and financing.

Principal Responsibilities:

●Operational Finance and Leadership
o Direct and coordinate financial planning, treasury, investor relations and budget management functions.
o Build and own FP&A.
o Build the company's financial systems.
o Develop and maintain systems for monthly reporting and analysis.
o Identify and lead relationships with third-party partners.
o Manage accounting and financing functions; establish and optimize purchasing procedures within ISO 13485
compliance.
o Work closely with Operations/IT to define requirements and use strategies for e-commerce, ERP and EDI systems,
specifically where they intersect reporting and reconciliation processes.

●Strategy
o Provide strategic guidance on operational finance, strategy, and risk management
o Develop decision analysis frameworks to explore strategic alternatives
o Drive resource allocation processes
o As the company grows, lead assessments of acquisition and in-licensing opportunities.
● Investor Relations, including fundraising
o Provide direction and groundwork for an initial public offering (IPO), ensuring financial infrastructure to
successfully support the requirements of a SEC registrant, including SOX compliance.
o Oversee and coordinate external reporting and analyst engagement
o Ensure accounting records and financial reporting comply with US GAAP.

●Leadership
o Coach, mentor and develop staff, including regular feedback, disciplinary actions, career development and
opportunities.
o Support a work culture that appreciates cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together.
o Create a workplace culture that is consistent with the company's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications:
● CFO experience in a public company, including successfully leading a company through an IPO. The company will
consider candidates strongly positioned to lead the company's finance organization post-IPO.
● Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
● 10+ years of management experience with strong technical and financial acumen
and well versed in U.S. GAAP.
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Experience with public and private fundraising, including IPO, direct listings, PIPEs, ATMs, and strategic use of debt
and other tools.
● Experience working in consumer products and medical devices a strong plus.
● Possess strong forecasting and strategic planning ability.
● Flexibility to adapt to constant change in a competitive environment.
● Strong decision support skills
● Strategic thinker with ability to develop a long-term strategy while balancing near-term priorities.
● Ability to roll up your sleeves and wear multiple hats while working with limited resources.
● Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
● Strong communications skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
● Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching.
● Team building and fundraising experience is a plus.

We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a full-time or near full-time position with our internal team who possesses the following experience:
• Strong foundation of US GAAP reporting
• Month-end close
• Consolidation accounting
• Financial statement preparation
• Financial analysis and budgeting
• Full-cycle A/P & A/R
• G/L reconciliations
• Revenue recognition
• Payroll interface, full cycle
• Support for various accounting projects
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks desktop, NetSuite, QAD, Dynamics, ADP, and Gusto
• Experience with: Bill.com, Expensify or Concur
• Spotlight reporting a plus

The Accounting Supervisor will have the following responsibilities for those in the Staff and Senior Accountant
roles.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and Month-end close processes
• Oversight of budget and forecast activities
• Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenue expenses
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 8-10+ years' relevant experience
• 2+ years' experience with Bill.com
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing start-up environment
• Work experience with start-up and life science companies
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Superior written & oral communication skills

Desired:
• MBA or CPA
• Public accounting audit training and experience, ideally Big 4
