The Director of Business Development, Mobile
The Director of Business Development, Mobile will have primary responsibility for driving end-to-end partner relationships with tier 1 mobile providers. Principal goal will be to select key providers to lead the distribution of TuneIn's top ranked service world-wide among major mobile operators, handset manufacturers and applications stores. This position is based in Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities:
-Identify new prospects within major mobile distribution platforms worldwide, including mobile handset manufacturers, teleco's, application stores, cable, and broadband providers.
-Support existing mobile partnerships including Apple, RIM, Nokia, Dell, Samsung, Bing and Microsoft.
-Forge key decision maker relationships at companies, like Comcast, Google, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T.
-Manage relationships with top application stores worldwide. Focus on featured placement, localization and evaluation of level of participation in emerging stores.
-Introduce TuneIn's capabilities (with a focus on TuneIn´s full breadth of offerings, which may include AM & FM data, Internet only, HD Radio data services, song & artist and others).
-Work with product team to provide feedback on future requirements for mobile devices and tablet products.
-Develop specific end-to-end sales, integration and service proposals.
-Target handset manufacturers to bundle the TuneIn Radio Application.
-Establish bundle relationships with major wireless networks worldwide.
Requirements:
-5+ years of sales experience with mobile handset, infrastructure or carriers with a track record of sustained success in a business development or consultative selling role.
-A strong track record in distribution of 3rd party services and software.
-Exposure to online digital media services, specifically music or radio oriented.
-Driven for results - perseverance and tenacity to push self and others to achieve desired goals.
-Participate in world-wide industry related consortiums
-Executive presence - is comfortable with selling and influencing at all levels.
-Interpersonal savvy and communication skills - uses strong communication skills and a genuine desire to win to develop client solutions that will enable the achievement of superior outcomes.
-Build and maintain productive working relationships - collaborates well with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to achieve desired business results.

-Legal (contract review) experience.
