Title: Network Applications Engineer for Demos
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+ months with quarterly renewal
Experis is looking for a Network Apps Engineer who is capable to do full network demo with the sales team in front of their major customers from scoping out the network, installing, configuring and demonstrating the network.
Major technical skills
At least 2 years experience partnering with platform vendors in integration projects
Experience deploying and administering BMC Atrium Orchestrator and BMC Bladelogic for Server Automation
Experience troubleshooting in these areas: L2-L4 networking; applications; OS and server platforms; storage; storage networking.
Experience analyzing system architecture as a series of end-to-end traffic flows.
Experience with the following operating systems: Windows 2008/2008 R2, Unix/Linux
Experience with VMware, VSphere
Experience with the following applications/application interfaces: XML,.NET, ASP, Java, Perl, HTML
Experience with the following databases: Oracle, MS-SQL
Major soft skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially the ability to document and explain complicated technical scenarios in common terms
Experience working in cross-functional teams across engineering and marketing; ability to brainstorm with team members from different teams
Ability to make decisions quickly and explain reasoning behind decisions
Experience identifying and documenting user and system-level requirements
