Our client is a smaller, growing entrepreneurial software company gaining recognition for their cutting edge solutions which help companies migrate to the cloud environment. This company offers a compelling cloud platform for global companies that is gaining attention from large enterprise customers. Based upon their expansion and growth we are now seeking a successful software professional with experience selling IT infrastructure-type software solutions as it relates to the areas of cloud computing and/or migration, virtualization, data center automation/control, enterprise IT management, enterprise automation, governance, provisioning, network configuration, network change software, etc. for this exciting opportunity:



Position description: Account Executive
Location: Bay area, California



Position description:

In this role the Account Executive your focus will be on securing new accounts and revenue for the company. In doing so, the individual will engage with prospects at multiple levels.


Position responsibilities:

− Define and implement an account strategy within a self-managed, developing territory. Lead sales strategies for multiple opportunities.
− Gather client information, analyze requirements, and determine areas of opportunity through an understanding of technical challenges and needs.
− Contribute to solving customers´ challenges by applying a combination of technology, business, interpersonal, and professional experience and propose/demonstrate
solutions presenting product attributes.
− Perform market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
− Utilize internal resources and collaborate with various departments within the organization to provide client with information and services.
− Develop sales forecasts.
− Prepare and deliver status reports on opportunities.
− Travel throughout geography as necessary.


Required skills:

− 5+ years of outside sales experience with enterprise software solutions with recent experience selling IT infrastructure-type software solutions(cloud, virtualization,
provisioning, etc.). Some past experience and success with a smaller software company a huge plus.
− Successful track record prospecting including cold calls and lead generation in a business-to-business environment, specifically enterprise level.
− Experience selling business value to VP and Director level contacts, as well as technical users, with the ability to close at the CIO/CTO level.
− Ability to understand evolving data center and application architectures.
− Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidate should be experienced in conducting in-person and on-line meetings.
− Self-motivated, self-starter, strong sense of urgency, results-oriented approach.
− Must be very well organized and able to independently manage a territory, schedule, quotas, and multiple accounts simultaneously, while also functioning well within
a team environment. Documentation and record keeping skills are vital to a candidate's success.
− Demonstrated track record of growing the business by exceeding sales targets/quotas.
− Candidates with established IT decision maker contacts, good knowledge of the application development life cycle and enterprise systems management is highly
preferred
− Bachelor's degree


Candidates of interest are those that have successful current/recent experience selling IT infrastructure-type software solutions in the areas of cloud computing and/or migration, virtualization, data center automation/control, enterprise IT management, enterprise automation, governance, provisioning, network configuration, network change software. Experience may come from companies such as Hewlett-Packard, VMware, Citrix, Opsware, Bladelogic, CA Technologies(Computer Associates), BMC Software, Platespin, Quest Software, IBM, Terramark, Accenture, dynaTrace, Compuware, Gomez, Savvis, Abiquo, CloudSwitch, CiRBA, Cordys, Eucalyptus, RightScale, CohesiveFT, Opnet, enStratus Networks, newScale , Red Hat, Platform Computing, Nimbula, Novell, AppDynamics, Makara, New Relic, ManageEngine, Freedom OSS, Cloupia, Nastel Technologies, Scalr, Boomi, Jitterbit, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Pervasive Software, mValent, Stratavia, Surgient, etc. or any one of the many others in these areas.
