Title: Content Design & Apps Programmer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12+ months
The successful candidate will be one of our in house experts to answer questions regarding Digital Signage programming. He/she will update, repair, modify, and expand existing programs, and participate in support and development of new software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.
Maintain and develop programming modifications.
Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
Write and maintain programming documentation.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
Must have a good understanding of Object Oriented Design
Must have experience with: SQL, (MySQL or Oracle)
Flash Action Script 2 and 3, Web services (soap, rest), HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, CSS, Flex, ASP.Net
Experience with graphics design and graphics design tools: Photoshop, Dreamweaver.
Experience in one of the scripting languages: PHP, Perl, Python
Working experience with servers: Apache, IIS, Tomcat.
Can handle project/task independently as well as be a team member.
Able to upgrade existing code to higher version.
Strong sense of logic and decoding, problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent Customer focus & interaction skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Communicate effectively with technical personnel, users, and other staff who may have no technical background.
ANY OF THE FOLLOWING WILL BE A PLUS:
Sample code demonstrating your skill in programming.
A working application you can show us and explain in technical detail.
Other Technical Skills: Linux experience, server configuration, Hardware, Networking, DBA, familiarity with different database platforms, SDLC experience and the like.
