HOW IT ALL STARTED:
I am not a recruiter, I do this to help my friends. I'm actually a marcom consultant (www.connellycom.com). The KIT List grew due to the spirit of people on the list wanting to help each other out.

I started the KIT list in early 1997 to "keep in touch" with my Silicon Graphics friends after I left to work with other clients. When SGI started having lay offs, I emailed job leads to my friends. It grew from there as KIT list members added other friends and colleagues, and we now have 50,000 people!

I did this in my spare time for 8 years, but as the list grew rapidly, Amy Sloniker Plunkett, Val Cienega and Kelly Connelly (yep, she's my sister) pitched in to share the moderator workload…I am grateful for their help!

The strength of our community is due to the great people in it! Its high quality is due to people passing the word to other great people in the spirit of helping each other. You are welcome to tell other friends and colleagues about the list, or forward job emails, so we all
