Our client, a private, direct to consumer manufacturing company, is seeking a Finance Director. This is a remote position. To be considered you must reside within the United States and the expectation is that you are available during Pacific Standard Time.

This new role will be a senior member of a growing FP&A team. They will serve as the lead finance business partner to a fast-growing operations team. The Finance Director will be responsible for financial planning and analytics focused on improving gross margins and will work closely with the COO, VP of Operations and their teams, as well as cross functionally with other business units. This role will report to the Vice President of FP&A.

Responsibilities:
• Financial modeling & business case analysis - new product introductions, make-buy, etc.
• Analyze and determine product margins, Opex and Capex
• Own and advise on product unit economics
• Perform ongoing and ad-hoc variance analysis, bridging rate, vol, and mix
• Understand and leverage all operational flows and processes to aid financial management
• Meet with key department leaders on a regular basis to communicate financial results, key trends and insights, and assess current and future business risks and opportunities for cost-savings
• Oversee annual financial planning and quarterly forecast cycles

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with a physical product company
• Expert understanding of classic mix/margin work, costing, inventory valuation and flows
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills with experience building and managing complex financial models
• Excellent presentation skills, especially related to the creation and communication of executive-level content
• Superb interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships cross-functionally
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to manage competing and changing priorities
• A high aptitude for financial modeling and conveying business stories through numbers and metrics
• High integrity and accountability
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
• Operations and/or plant level experience a plus
• Cost accounting knowledge a plus
• Experience with Audit support and SOX requirements a plus
