[KIT-list] Zoom event 1/25: Mastering the Interview: Why are you the best person for the job?

Thursday, January 20, 2022

Hi Everyone,
We've had KIT List expert panels many times at the Northside Branch of the Santa Clara Library -- and I love the many excellent events they host there, which are now virtual so anyone can attend!
Although this is not a KIT List event, they've asked me to invite our KIT List community to this Zoom event that is covering the most important question that usually kicks off each job interview...
"Tell me about yourself and how your knowledge, skills, and abilities make you the perfect candidate for this position."

How you answer that question will set the tone of your entire interview!

Hear from a marketing and branding expert on how to position yourself and give the right response that will land you the job you'll love!
This will NOT be recorded, so you'll need to sign up to learn this key tips.
If you have any questions, please contact the library directly at Northsidelibrary@santaclaraca.gov.

Warmly,
Sue

Most people hate job hunting. It can be a never-ending process of resume writing, networking, and hours and hours interviewing that may lead to disappointment and ego bruising. In this session, we will go over the steps you need to take to be ready for the process, including the number one asked question at the beginning of interviews, "Tell me about yourself and what makes you the most qualified candidate for this position." Our marketing and branding expert will teach you how to:

- Set your expectations and create a strategy for success
- Sell yourself to your future employer
- What "essential" items need to go into your opening statement?
- How to make the first question memorable (since that is the first impression your future employer will get of you).
- How to keep your future employer intrigued and wanting to learn more about your knowledge, skills, and abilities.

If you have questions about the program, please contact Northsidelibrary@santaclaraca.gov.
