As a Sales Engineer with Untangle, you'll support and enable our sales team and have a direct influence on enhancing our products through your customer interactions.
You will be working alongside some of the brightest minds. We are looking for you to bring your expertise, drive, and passion. This is your chance to join us on our journey as we expand our global presence. Support the full sales cycle from a technical perspective, be the knowledge matter expert on the Untangle's technology portfolio & act as a conduit between Sales and Product Management, Professional Services and Technical Support. Start with the scoping of the project (analysis, success criteria, limitations), assist with demos while guiding proof of values (Helping to showcase value with some customization and product config) and ensure technical sign off versus success criteria.
We have recently transitioned to a hybrid model of coming into the office 2-3 days a week. Flexibility is required to support our Global Customer base. Your schedule will be further defined as we continue to move forward, together.
Position Responsibilities
· Work with internal sales teams to provide customized demonstrations, technical discovery calls, scoping discussions, and other customer and prospect meetings throughout the sales process
· Confidently highlight business value, competitive differentiation, and efficiency gains to customers and prospects
· Schedule frequent interaction to customers, partners, and distributors on details of the latest product releases, overviews of products and in webinars that drill into deep technical areas
· Work with sales management to drive sales through optimizing processes, training of team, and development of a culture of collaboration, learning, and success
· Be able to address the competitive landscape, contribute to and provide competitive positioning documents and know how to position Untangle products relative to similar products
· Provide feedback that Influences the feature development process in areas of user experience, technical infrastructure, use cases, portfolio positioning by bringing deep knowledge of the customer base into the process
· Occasional trade show support
Requirements
· College degree
· 1-3 years experience with Firewall and SD-WAN technologies
· Must be an engaging presenter, both in person and via the internet. Be able to adapt quickly and effectively answer a wide range of both technical and business questions from our customer base
· Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics, and virtual meeting platforms.Experience in SMB sales and a proven track record of successfully working with sales teams, in a collaborative environment
· Curious about technology with the ability to learn new technology quickly
· Action-oriented, self-starter with a strong persistence in achieving goals and prioritizing work
· Accountable for own results with a strong competitive drive and a "do what it takes" work ethic
· Entrepreneurial spirit. Being part of building a business excites you
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with flawless English written grammar
