Job Summary
The EvolutionarySoftware and Optimisation Group at Um Al Quraa University has open positions in January 2012 for research associate. Joining us would support gaining valuable post-graduate experience in the company of an energetic group who are inspired by evolution. Our agenda, in general, spans theoretical, technology and applications research as it applies to Evolutionary Computation. Our group uses algorithms based on natural evolution principles to solve a wide range of problems, which may not be solvable, by standard techniques.
Our research is aiming at serving users and stakeholders for information technology in the Kingdom, including government agencies, industry, and universities. We are looking for a highly motivated, independent but team-oriented researchers with a strongexpertise in evolutionary computation and data mining.
The successful candidate will join the group of Dr. Ahmed Kattan at the Computer Science Department in Um Al Quara University.
Job Description:
? Write code, and perform simulations.
? Analyse data.
? Write Grants proposals.
? Write Conference and Journal Papers.
? Teach undergrad courses.
Requirements:
Master or PhD degree in Computer Science and with a particular emphasis on evolutionary computation and data mining.
? Good publication records related to Evolutionary Computations.
? Good programing skills.
? Proven ability to work with a diverse group of people.
? Proven team capabilities.
? Fluent English - verbal and written.
