Since you did mentioned that you have some knowledge of .NET, the only way to connect to SQL Server is via a backend service (i.e. Web Service) to which you could perform queries and CRUD operations.
You would define the web service in your .NET backend and call the same from your flex application.

hi i have a question how can i connect to the sql sever 2008 i have a little experience in the following subject i have just switch from the .net to flex and could not find the way to connect to the sql server without the use of the any of the server side technology like php, asp.net, java , JavaScript. is there a way to connect to the sql sever kindly provide with some help.
