Employee Relations Operations Partner (Contract Worker Position) at Palo Alto Networks
Job Description
Be the operations lead stakeholder for Employee Relations
Triage Employee Relations cases and ensure all employees' questions and concerns get addressed
Own administrative tasks for the team (e.g. generating reports, performing audits and database management.
Build automation processes for Employee Relations Partners
Conduct exit interviews
Draft mutual separation agreements and execute involuntary termination processes
Manage employee mental/physical health accommodation process for employees accordingly.
Assist Employee Relations Partners to educate, coach and guide leaders on our performance management and elevation efforts, while ensuring adherence to our philosophy and values. Provide leaders with upstanding advice to elevate performance and capability across their teams and respective organizations.
Assist Employee Relations Partners to conduct investigations on employee relations matters and policy violations to evaluate and effectively address issues. Partner with HRBPs, legal and other investigative parties as required to thoroughly conduct the investigation and reach the best outcomes for our organization and employees.
Act as an advocate for equitable and fair treatment; ensure our practices continue to align to our company's core values: Disrupt. Execute. Inclusion. Collaboration. Integrity.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of Employee Relations experience gained in either an HR role or Employee Relations Advisory role, or equivalent/transferable experience operating in a fast paced working environment.
Experience with employment law and effective risk management practices is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Highly organized and strong communication skills
Dependable and accountable
Ability to establish strong relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization.
Effective listener and persuasive communicator able to influence actions and outcome
Comfortable operating in Gsuite, Docusign, Workday. ServiceNow and Navex a plus
Experience managing sensitive confidential employee and company information
Education
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

Encore Fellowships provide paid, transitional engagements in non-profit organizations, for those typically 50+ and considering retirement, with 20+ years experience, who wish to move to the social impact sector for their second act. Fellowships include a $25,000 stipend for 1000 hours of work, typically part-time for a year, education on the sector, and networking with a cohort of peers.
Fellowship: Marketing and Communications Director position.
Organization: Focused on preventing homelessness and hunger.
Candidates need to be in Bay Area, work onsite in South Bay
Project Scope:
*.Manage and execute all aspects of design, public relations, marketing, communications. social media, and online and print publications
* Develop and execute annual communications plan
• Oversee external contributors including graphic design agency, public relations consultant, and
others as needed
• Work with the Executive Director on the development of the Annual Report and other
communications materials, including PowerPoint decks, brochures, etc
*Work with leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications
opportunities and solutions, to define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
• Work collaboratively with Director of Development on donor events, providing marketing and
communications support as needed
• Work collaboratively with Programs and Services team on volunteer events, providing
marketing and communications support as needed
*Develop client-facing communications including flyers, web content, signage as needed.
*Oversee external contributors and work collaboratively with internal partners.
Must he strategic and hands-on.
Skills:
Marketing generalist with experience managing digital and print media
Communications and brand management
Strong writing and editing skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Stipend: $25,000 for 1000 hours, with the possibility for conversion to staff role
Work Schedule: 20 hours a week for 12 months, Flexible
Work Location: Onsite, Sunnyvale
