About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced contributor to join the SVB Internal Communications team to support our HR and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion communications. The ideal candidate is someone who cares deeply about informing, engaging and inspiring our global workforce at a company whose purpose is to 'fuel innovation for a better world.' The candidate selected for this role has a drive to deliver effective, creative and timely communications in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working well as a member of a distributed team.

Responsibilities
Create and edit a wide range of writing assignments across multiple companywide channels (Intranet, email, digital signage, broadcasts)
Work closely with business partners to understand their communication needs, provide needed expertise and deliver timely content
Support key internal events
Work cross functionally across teams, businesses and functions to ensure alignment
Engages stakeholders and builds strong relationships
Skills and Requirements
Superior writing and editing skills - recognized for creativity and "near perfection" writing and editing skills and often asked to edit the work of others
Knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles
Strong listening and interpersonal skills
Strong visual and storytelling skills
Superior organization and program management skills
Able to influence decision-makers to support communication using the correct tone, style, channels and messaging
Asks questions, wants to learn and looks for ways to improve/innovate
Self-starter who can get stuff done - multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Ability to work well in a team and as an individualcontributor
Adept with use of the Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint, a plus
Experience
8-10+ years of experience in employee or organization communication or journalism
Prior work experience on HR and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion communications preferred
Working in a global company, understanding team collaboration across different geographies, time zones and culture
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Communications or Marketing
Location: You will primarily work outside of an SVB office. The role will be based in one of these locations: SF Bay Area, Tempe, AZ or Austin, TX.

Milpitas Adult Education Programs
Qualifications:
Required: Appropriate subject area credential as specified by state law

Primary Function:
To develop in the students the skills, knowledge, concepts, principles, appreciation and attitudes necessary to achieve personal educational, and/or vocational goals in order to function effectively within society.

Areas of Responsibility:
In order to maintain an appropriate learning environment, the effective classroom teacher recognizes the importance of the following skills:

A. Classroom Management:

1. Maintaining classroom control and appropriate student behavior.
2. Recognizing and respecting adult students' individual differences, needs and abilities.
3. Adhering to educational and/or site or other collaborating agencies' policies.
4. Assuming responsibility for assigned equipment, materials and facilities.
5. Accurately completing attendance, enrollment, assessment, etc., and responsibilities as outlined by policy.

B. Curriculum:

1. Providing a sound, quality instructional program as outlined in course descriptions, blue prints, goals, objectives, and State Model Standards.
2. Determining, developing and implementing new programs based on changing
student and/or program needs.
3. Effectively evaluating student performance and/or progress.


C. Interpersonal Relations:

1. Exhibiting behavior and human qualities towards students that are consistent with the principles of a democratic and humane society.
2. Working cooperatively with all staff to create a harmonious work environment and toward the resolution of mutual concerns.


D. Professional Growth:
1. Maintaining professional competence through active participation in in-service
education activities, conferences, and/or workshops which are made available.
2. Ensuring the completion of those activities and/or classes required to maintain a clear and valid teaching credential.


E. Other Duties:
1. Participating in those duties that are shared in common with the teaching staff
and/or custodial and clerical personnel

Test Examiner - Adult Education (Milpitas Unified School District -- Adult Education/Ayer site
Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pmMonday - Friday, 8 hours, 11 months

Requirements / Qualifications

ENTRANCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination equivalent to:

- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Ability to pass the District Proficiency
- Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification.
- Basic knowledge of and experience in the use of the PC and basic computer software programs.

KNOWLEDGE:

- Correct usage of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, composition and vocabulary.
- Accurate record keeping and basic arithmetic.
- Use of the PC and basic Microsoft Office Suite programs and accountability software.
- Use of standard office equipment; i.e., fax, scanner, printer.
- Ability to maintain an organized office, including paper and electronic filing.
- Talk and put students at ease during testing situation.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Test in jails in a variety of situations.
- Give clear test instructions.
- Carry out oral and written instructions in an independent manner.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties
