HR Business Partner, Digital Platforms (Sunnyvale)

Are you looking for a dynamic role that can significantly influence the company's future strategic direction?  Are you looking for a strategic HR role giving you a high level of autonomy to design and implement HR initiatives that will drive business strategies?  If so, our HRBP team is growing and we are looking for a dynamic, creative, curious-minded individual to help support our Digital Platforms business. This is an exciting role as we'll get to work with engineers and leaders developing the next generation of business for the industry.

Located in Sunnyvale, the role serves under the guidance of the HRBP Director for Product and Engineering as a part of the HRBP team.  The successful candidate will fully develop an understanding of assigned business areas and represent the interests of those areas within the Human Resources group.  They will work collaboratively with Global HR colleagues and department leadership to develop/maintain a culture that supports the company mission, vision and core values.       

You will partner with key leaders in our Engineering, Quality, Product/Program Management (PMO) as well as centers of HR excellence to execute HR strategy and implement HR initiatives, policies, procedures, programs, and engagements.  A successful candidate should be familiar and experienced in most HR functional areas, including performance management, compensation, employee relations, and program/project management. The individual will work collaboratively with HR colleagues and department leadership to develop/maintain a culture that supports the company mission, vision and core values.

In addition, this role will support the implementation of HR projects and programs in a Global environment. The successful candidate will fully develop an understanding of assigned business areas and represent the interests of those areas within and outside of HR. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, coaching, and counsel to leaders and employees on HR programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution.
  • Provide cross-functional program management of cyclical HR programs and/or talent initiatives
  • Leverage analytics and assessment tools to identify and close talent and leadership gaps to achieve business outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain a work environment that keeps employees engaged and aligned to Intuitive culture
  • Lead and assist in all aspects of HR programs and services that contribute to establishing and executing strategies and plans for 200+ employees.
  • Partner with talent acquisition to ensure timely opening of personnel requisitions, sourcing and hiring
  • Oversee allocation of resources, anticipate organizational business needs, and lead employee professional growth opportunities.
  • Manages and coordinates org-specific HR data and workforce planning reports (i.e., current headcount, terminations, turnover, new hires/requisitions, retention, performance management, ad hoc SAP reports, HRIS audit reports org charts, etc.). 
  • Support succession planning and talent review process.
  • Deliver training and presentations and facilitate group discussions with client groups.
  • Support of other activities as required.

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources; three years in a generalist role
  • Experience working in manufacturing and/or support organization and/or technology company highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • Additional experience within functional HR (Comp, Staffing, Benefits, HRIS) preferred
  • Think strategically, anticipate challenges and address issues that benefit the organization, enhance the culture, and resolve leadership and talent gaps.
  • Ability to effectively manage HR leadership for widely dispersed & diverse (functional/operations/engineering/manufacturing) teams
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment…ability to work with various levels of ambiguity
  • The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices plus other government compliance regulations
  • Adaptability to travel 25% of the time between different regional sites and eventually International sites.  Travel may increase during peak timeframes.
  • Effective communication skills including oral, written and interpersonal
  • Resourceful and initiative; has an ability to operate with high degree of autonomy
  • Experience with organizational development and project/program management skills a must

Encore paid Fellowship for a Finance Fellow

Peak Performers is a non-profit staffing agency that needs a Finance fellow. Peak Performers specializes in recruiting people living with disabilities and/or chronic medical conditions for temporary, temp-to-permanent, and direct hire positions

Position Description 
This unique role will be structured as a partnership between the Fellow and Peak's new VP of Finance with the goal of launching a new Finance and Accounting organization, processes and systems for our Insourcing Transition Initiative. 

Initial List of Activities that Selected Candidate will lead: 

Design specific accounting processes and procedures for specific modules within Accounting Cycle [TBD]
Draft corresponding sections within Financial Policies & Procedures manual for Management Team's & Board of Directors' approval 
Work with vendor to configure of ERP system for same modules 
Prepare data to be loaded /converted into new system 
Conduct functionality and process testing 
Provide post-implementation troubleshooting and team support 
Design and Integrate Cash Management / Treasury processes with new Banking Partner(s) 
Perform significant controllership functions [TBD], including but not limited to end-of-period adjustments, period-end close, financial statement preparation, and team coaching & mentorship in the Post-Implementation phase  
Prepare for Peak's first-ever audit for the 2021 fiscal [calendar] year and IRS Form 990 preparation

Initial Activities where Fellow will lend significant knowledge and support: 

Finalize Insourcing Transition Plan/Timeline Develop overall plan for developing full-cycle accounting processes with appropriate internal controls 
Design specific accounting processes and procedures for specific modules within Accounting Cycle 
Develop Financial Policies & Procedures manual for Management Team and Board of Director approval 
Selection of Financial Accounting / ERP system Collabore with ERP 
Vendor for implementation planning/timeline, system configuration, training 
Recruit, Select, Onboard, Train new Finance team members 
Establish new Banking and Investment Advisor relationships
