Job Title: Business Analyst/Project Coordinator
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 mos+ (renewable per quarter)

We seek for a Business Analyst/Project Coordinator who will provide analytic support to Global Events, Strategic Engagement and Communications team, based in San Jose. In this role, you will work closely with senior Event Engagement Managers and their clients, providing analytic support for strategic decision-making including but not limited to, optimization of client event investments, improvement of customer interactions at events, evaluation of event marketing strategies, and assessment of underlying drivers of financial and operational performance at events.

The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible and organized, has the ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues, is comfortable interpreting meaning and relevance from raw data, and able to present that data in a concise manner to key stakeholders. This role will also provide mid-term project coordinator support for business process re-engineering and performance measurement initiatives.

You will work with global cross-functional teams where you will routinely focus individuals on the work necessary to achieve project goals and objectives, within a set timeframe and within budget.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Analyst:
- Consult with senior Event Engagement Managers (and clients) to assess effectiveness of event portfolios.
- Manage and prioritize recurring and ad hoc analytic requests.
- Wrangle data from multiple sources including on-line data and data derived from multiple off-line sources to create integrated views that can be used to drive decision-making.
- Collect, validate and verify data. Follow-up on data discrepancies or integrity issues. And perform detailed comprehensive analysis.
- Use latitude to consider and decide which tools, solutions, practices, and or procedures to use.
- Design and build reports and dashboards.
- Effectively communicate findings and make use of data visualization techniques
- Devise new ways to capture and interpret event data.
- Support the data system requirements to develop department level scorecards
- Represent Global Events to key organizations within the Centralized Marketing Organization including Customer Intelligence, Market Intelligence and the Global Demand Center.
- Understand marketing and sales systems and represent Global Events in discussions around those systems. Work to drive system changes that will enhance the future ability of Global Events to track and analyze performance.

Mid-term Project Coordinator:
- Create, manage, and communicate project work plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Capture and share critical project concepts, plans, process/data flow diagrams so that impacted parties can share this information, make informed decisions, and keep the project moving forward without having to revisit old discussions.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Manage the project schedule, and ensure milestones are met.
- Identify risks and dependencies.
- Facilitate team and internal client meetings effectively.
- Coordinate effort of global cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a marketing organization.
- General knowledge of project management principles and successful completion of a process improvement project, a significant plus.
- Must be experienced with inspecting, cleaning, transforming, mapping, and analyzing/modeling data with the goal of highlighting useful information to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and common project management software and diagramming tools.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- Client service mentality.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Individual must be able to combine analytical skills with strong business knowledge.

Desired Skills & Experience

Must have: 3 -5 years minimum as a BA/PM with hands onexperience in business process design / mapping.
Six sigma / BPR best practices
Strong skills in As-is/to-be Business process mapping, gapanalysis, requirements elicitation
Experience with cross-functional team and work on majorcross-functional impacting projects.
Must have sound communications and analytical skills
Finance background / functional knowledge desired

Comfortable with independently handling basic PMresponsibilities (planning, scheduling, status reporting)
Experience in working with IT to have requirements delivered
Strong analytical skills in order to understand and drive the plan
Manage issues and risks through an on-going process of identifying, assessing, tracking, developing and executing risk mitigation strategies
Effectively communicate the status of projects and escalate issues as appropriate
Finance experience, MBA preferred
Engagement with change management and release management

Job Description:
- Experienced Data Analyst/Business Analyst to support the Business Intelligence Team.
- Maintain the as-is business/system processes/solution.
- Work with Data Stewards and Data Architects to develop the to-be process and solution.
- Work closely with Data Stewards in data analysis, identify potential data gaps within the enterprise systems and recommend upstream data/process fixes.
- Determines relationships between data elements to support documentation of BRDs, FRDs and to provide guidance to the QA team on test case creation.
- Participate in Business Acceptance testing of data enablement projects/programs.
- Support the Solutions Delivery Team through the project lifecycle where analysis is required to support core project functions or RTB activities.
- During the analysis and solution design phases, the Data analyst is expected to perform the Project Manager role in setting up the required meetings and analyze stakeholder coverage.
- Should have strong experiences partnering with IT, strong Finance process knowledge.
-Technical skills include but not limited to MS-Excel (including macros), Business Objects report creation and querying, MS-Access, MS-Powerpoint, MS-Sharepoint (development)
- Needs to be able to work in fast paced environment.
- Must have basic presentation skills & experience.
- Flexible to assist w/ unexpected work related to the program/project.
